License setup

Before the OCP plugin can be used, a valid license must first be set up.

License Activation

  1. After installing the OCP plugin, open the Options section (1) in the main menu.
  2. Select the Add-On tab (2).
  3. In the displayed section, the entry byte Robotics - Optimized Collision-Free Path Planning will appear.
  4. Click Change License (3) or toggle the switch (4) to open the license window.
  5. Set the switch (4) to Active to activate the OCP plugin.
Online License

For online activation, proceed as follows:

  1. Click Online License Key.
  2. Select the provided .olic file via Load File.
  3. After uploading, the available subscriptions will be displayed, including:
    • Validity period
    • Included features
    • Total number of licenses
    • Available licenses
    • Remaining runtime
  4. Select the desired subscription and activate it for your computer.

If you cannot maintain an internet connection due to travel or similar circumstances, you can borrow an offline license for 30 days. However, please note that the license will then be tied to this computer for 30 days and cannot be transferred to another computer during this period. Without a manual reservation, licenses are automatically released 24 hours after the last use, meaning they are tied to the hardware for only 24 hours.

Offline License

If no internet connection is available at your workplace, an offline license can be requested:

  1. Note the automatically generated Hardware ID from the upper text field.
  2. Contact byte robotics Sales with this ID to obtain an individual offline license.
  3. Click Offline License Key and upload the provided .lic file.
  4. The window will close automatically, and the OCP plugin will be activated.
License Overview

After successful activation, the Add-On page displays a summary of the activated packages and their validity period.

If no license is available yet, a request can be sent via email to Sales using the “Request License” button.
