Automatic collision free planning Paths can be planned automatically by adding HALT statements to the robot program. During simulation, automatic planning collects each connection from the preceding to the next executed position statement and calculates collision-free paths after the program run. The results are added to the program. For details on preparation and integrating the results, see the Automatic collision-free path planning workflow.
Path Planning Settings (Options) Option Description Available Settings Displays the selection of saved settings. Selecting the “Default” settings displays the read-only default settings. Settings Name Allows you to change the name of the selected settings. Clicking Add copies the current settings and adds new settings. Clicking Delete removes existing settings. The default settings cannot be deleted.

Support Info Displays if the Backend supports the selected robot. The Button changes its Icon to show the current Status. The following options are available: Status Icon Beschreibung No Information The support status of the robot is not yet known. A manual check can be started by pressing the button to find out the status directly. Otherwise, the status is also updated before each request to the backend. Supported The selected robot is supported. This means that the calculations should be able to correctly map the robot’s movements. Not Supported The selected robot is not supported. This means that if a calculation is performed, there is no guarantee that the results will be correct. This may change in later versions of the software. If this specific robot is important for your process flow, please feel free to contact our support team.

Optimization Assistant Clicking the “Optimizations Assistant” button opens a new window.
The Optimization Assistant then provides an overview of the individual tasks that can be optimized. To perform program optimization, at least one task must be selected.
There are three types of requests that can be startet from the assistant:
Optimize selected program Optimize single contours Optimize single & connect Contours that are separated by motion statements or scopes are recognized as one task. The contours of a task are optimized both in relation to one another and in relation to the surrounding motions. All contours are grouped into separate tasks to make them executable. Optimizes the selected contours individually, then plans and inserts collision-free connections between the generated contours in selection order. For step-by-step instructions on optimizing and connecting contours, see the contour optimization workflow.

Definition The functions in this section simplify data exchange between different software versions.
Convert to Standard-VCMX This function modifies your programs to ensure compatibility with versions that do not include our plugin.
KUKA.SIM Converts Contour Statements into basic Fold Statements. Each Fold Statement contains subordinate Fold Statements representing the original Contour segments (“Approach,” “Process,” “Depart”). The original program structure is preserved. A context menu option allows reverting Fold Statements back to Contour Statements.
