In the Program Editor, you can open a context menu by right-clicking. Depending on your selection, various additional functions are available here.
Copy, Delete & Touch Up
These are Kuka.Sim standard functions. Contour helper commands: Icon Name Description Add empty contour Adds a new empty contour consisting of Approach, Process, and Depart to the robot program. Transform statement to contour Creates a new contour and moves the selected motion statements into the newly created open contour. Transform to point contour / Transform to several point contours Creates new point contours for each selected motion statement and moves the selected statements into their respective contours. Dissolve contour Dissolves the selected contours and moves their contained motion statements to the parent element. Transform path to contour Converts the selected path into a contour. Convert to contour Converts specific fold- or comment-statement to a contour statement. (Statements created by the Convert to standard VCMX function) Check contour Checks the type of contour against the points it contains and recommends adjustments if necessary.. Optimize single contour Optimizes the selected contours based on the specified degrees of freedom and attempts to make them traversable. Optimize contours in relation Optimizes the selected contours based on the chosen settings and aligns the entry points with each other. Optimize single & connect Optimizes the selected contours individually, then plans and inserts collision-free connections between the generated contours in selection order. Path planning commands: Icon Name Description 1:1 Path Planning [Sequence] Performs collision-free path planning between the two selected points or the sequence of selected points. 1:1 Path Planning [+reverse] [from Punkt] Starts the calculation for each sequence, beginning at the first selected point, proceeding to the next selected point in the selection, and then back again. If more than two points are selected, the route is planned from the first selected point to each of the other selected points and back. Repeat request Repeat path planning for the selected sequence using the current settings. Reverse request Repeats path planning for the selected sequence using the current settings. The path is calculated in the reverse direction, from the destination to the starting point. Dissolve path planning statement Dissolves the selected path planning statements and moves their contained motion statements to the parent element.

Definition Contours are used to better describe process sequences. A contour consists of 3 parts:
Approach (approach movements + first process point) Process (process movements) Depart (departure movements) This makes it possible to optimize complex processes. It defines which movements are intended for which tasks. There are three different types of contours that can be used to describe processes. Each of these types requires a movement command in Approach, while movement commands in Depart are optional in all contours. The Process part must not contain any PTP commands, as contour optimization is not intended for this. Further details are discussed below.

The backend is a piece of software that runs alongside the OLP environment. It calculates all the optimizations required by the plugin. It must be running and connected for the plugin to function properly.
Connection Settingss Option Description Backend URL Specifies the address for the backend. You only need to change the default setting if no backend is running on your own computer. Used Threads State how much calculation power should be used in the OCP backend. Changing the computing power requires restarting the backend using the buttons below. Backend Control Status Icon Status icon to indicate whether connection is established. Check Checks the backend connection and updates the status icon accordingly. Start It attempts to start a backend process and connects to it. Once a successful connection has been established, the backend is automatically started. Stop Terminates the backend process and blocks the automatic start of the backend process when the software is started again. Reset Stops the currently running backend and restarts it with the specified parameters.
